Protector Competitions




Arts & Sciences Competiton:
The displays will be set up between 9:30 and 10:00 and will be judged until 3:00. Please contact Lord Maredudd regarding your entry.


Rapier Tournament:
The rapier tournament will begin at 10:00. If you have any questions please contact Baron Etienne.


Archery Tournament:
The archery tournament will begin at 10:00. If you have any questions please contact Lord Maredudd.


Heavy Weapons Tournament:
The heavy tournament will begin at 1:30. If you have any questions please contact Baron Pol.




Duties of an ID Protector:

Each Protector is responsible for arranging the specialised Protector competition for the next Protector Tournament. Additionally, each Protector must; complete at least two of the following tasks at an event in any combination; and must publish the details of the task in The Baelfyr prior to the event.

Archery

Arrange a class(es) on constructing period archery equipment.
Arrange a Royal Round and/or IKAC tournament(s) (at event of his/her choosing). These tournament(s) cannot be held at the same event.

Armoured Combat

Arrange a class(es) in armoured fighting. These may include fighting different weapon styles, heavy combat tactics and/or strategy. This class(es) cannot be held at the same event or have the same topic; Sponsoring and arranging a tournament(s) (at an event of his/her choosing) based on a historical model, with some information for the populace and fighters which details the historical basis.

Arts and Sciences

Arrange a class(es) on “how to do” some art or science in a period fashion.
Sponsor and arrange different Arts and Science competitions using the Kingdom Arts & Sciences criteria at events of his/her choosing. Arranging competition includes finding and coordinating the judges. Competitions cannot be held at the same event. Sufficient lead time (one month) is required for the judges. Provide entertainment at separate events.

Rapier Combat

Arrange a class(es) on rapier fighting. These may include fighting different weapon styles, rapier combat tactics and/or strategy. This class(es) cannot be held at the same event or have the same topic;

Arrange a tournament(s) (at event of his/her choosing) based on a historical model, with some information for the populace and fighters which details the historical basis.
